Who are “The Baggys”?

The Baggys were/are/still might be a tribute band like no other. Rather than idolising a single band or performer. The Baggys pay homage to an entire musical genre – Madchester.

Defined as that period of time somewhere between the late 80s and early 90s, Madchester encompasses such iconic acts as The Stone Roses, The Charlatans, The Happy Mondays, and The Farm (They all seem to start with “The” don’t they).

The Madchester scene was famed for its baggy clothing style, raves, the Haçienda, and strange hallucinogenic substances that could make you believe you were gigantically attractive to the opposite/same sex/species.

Every so often, a Tribute band comes along that encapsulates its target with breathtaking skill, enthusiasm, and musicality. Until that happens, you’ll just have to put up with The Baggys.
